The jobs:
We are looking for Naval Architects and Marine Structural Engineers with experience of design, up to and including Principal grades, to undertake various roles in locations throughout the UK including Rosyth, Aberdeen, Tyneside, Devonshire, Slough and London.
Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or closely related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it is highly desirable.
• Possess sound knowledge of the design and construction of marine structures, i.e. ships (commercial and naval), FPSOs and off-shore oil & gas installations
• Knowledge of one or more the following areas of expertise is highly desirable: lift, stress, weight, hydrodynamics, ship motion, stability and/or structural analysis, marine warranty inspections, Oil & Gas topside design / design analysis / structural integrity, moorings and risers (please include in your CV).
• 2 years minimum experience in a design environment, 5 years or more for senior posts
Applicants must British or EU citizens or possess a valid UK work permit
For certain posts - either possess UK security clearance or be willing to undergo clearance
